Abstract
This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of Article 66B paragraph (2) of the Law no. 45 of 2009 amending the Fisheries Law no. 31 of 2004, provides for implementing Fisheries Supervisory Duties. The Regulation defines the following relevant terms: fisheries supervisors; fisheries business licence; fishing permit; fishing vessel permit; fishing port; landing; fish processing; fish farming and breeding; fish feed; fish medicine; conservation areas; fisheries management area. This Regulation specifies the following tasks and duties of fisheries supervisors, including: protection of fish species, research and development, checking and reducing pollution caused by human activities, monitoring the movement of fishing vessels, preventing unlawful, unreported, and unregulated fishing activities that damage fish resources and the environment, controlling the fish processing requirements, quality assurance and safety of fish products, and the presence of food additives, checking health conditions of fish. Further matters covered by this Regulation include: follow-up and reporting of supervision results.
