Regulation of the Minister of Trade no. 20 of 2018 concerning Second Amendment to Regulation of the Minister of Trade no. 59/M-DAG/PER/8/2016 concerning Provisions for the Export and Import of Animals and Animal Products.

This Ministerial Regulation amends the Regulation no. 59/M-DAG/PER/8/2016 concerning provisions for import and export of animals and animal products, in order to improve the activity of small and medium enterprises working in the sector of trade of animals and animal products, and to support the implementation of the import trade system through trans-boundary supervision. The Regulation defines: animals; ruminant; animal reproduction; animal products; animal diseases; labels and packaging; import and export activity; import and export authorisation; recycling mark for food packaging; State-owned enterprises. Amendments concern: release of export approval by the competent authorities; restrictions and limitations on animals and animal products export; duties and obligations of the enterprises, including proof of ownership of slaughterhouse and refrigerated storage rooms for animal products; release of import approval; request of specific certification for animal products imported from countries at risk of spreading diseases; inspection of compliance with import requirements. Attachments include lists of animals and animal products whose import is restricted, including: horses; goat and sheep; pigs; poultry; milk; butter; various types of cheese; meat and processed meat.
