Abstract
This Regulation, consisting of 55 articles divided into eight Chapters, creates the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Ministry, entitled to perform the following activities: organize government affairs in the field of marine and fisheries sector; formulate policies on marine spatial management, conservation and marine biodiversity, coastal and small island management, fisheries and aquaculture management, strengthening competitiveness and logistic system of marine and fish products enhancing the sustainability of marine and fishery business, as well as supervise management of marine and fishery resources; implement policies in the above mentioned sectors; implement marine spatial management policy, conservation and marine biodiversity, coastal and small island management, fisheries and aquaculture management, strengthening competitiveness and product logistics system marine and fisheries, enhancing the sustainability of marine and fishery business, and supervising the management of marine and fishery resources; research and develop in the field of marine and fisheries; implement fish quarantine, quality control, fish product safety, and fish biological safety; etc.

This Regulation enters into force on 25 May 2015.

This Regulation repeals the following legislation: Presidential Regulation No. 24/2010, amended by Presidential Regulation No. 135/4 2014; and b. Presidential Regulation No. 165/1954.
