Abstract
These Regulations provide for access to the Animal Identification and Movement system (i.e. the computerised database referred to in Regulation 3(3)(b) of the European Communities (Identification of Bovines) Regulations 2009). The Minister may provide to a food business operator access to data held on the Animal Identification and Movement system in order to verify the disease status and eligibility of an animal or animal product destined for the export market. A Food Business Operator shall not export to a third country an animal or animal product where the export conditions require the animal or animal product to meet certain criteria in relation to notifiable diseases, without first verifying that the animal or animal product is eligible for export on the Animal Identification and Movement system.
