Abstract
This Order implements Council Directive 91/493/EEC laying down the health conditions for the production and the placing on the market of fishery products. . These Regulations apply to the production and placing on the market of fishery products intended for human consumption, but exclude retail sales of such products. The Regulations prescribe general requirements for the placing on the market of fish products in line with Community requirements in regulation 5, and lay down requirements with respect to gutting of fishery product (reg. 6), care of live fishery products (reg. 7), and cooking of shrimps and molluscs on board (reg. 8). Furthermore provision is made for the approval and registration of establishments including factory vessels, and import from third countries.
