European Communities (Sampling Methods and Methods of Analysis for the Official Control of the Levels of Certain Contaminants in Foodstuffs) Regulations 2003 (S.I. No. 267 of 2003).

These Regulations give effect to Commission Directive 98/53/EC laying down the sampling methods and the methods of analysis for the official control of the levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs, as amended. The principal effect of these Regulations is to provide for the methods of sampling, and for the sample preparation and methods of analysis for the official control of the levels of certain contaminants in foodstuffs in accordance with the methods described in the Annexes of the Directives.
