European Union (Genetically Modified Foodstuffs) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 268 of 2013).

These Regulations give effect to Regulation 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on genetically modified food and feed and to Regulation 1830/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the traceability and labelling of GMO's and the traceability of food and feed products produced from genetically modified organism. The Regulations, among other things: appoint as the national competent authority for the purposes of the EC Regulations and for the purposes of these Regulations the Food Safety Authority of Ireland; define offences in relation with the placing on the market of a GMO for food use or food; provide rules concerning labelling and traceability of GMO's and traceability of food produced from GMO's; and provide for enforcement.
