European Union (Planning and Development) (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 (S.I. No. 646 of 2018).

These Regulations amend the Planning and Development Act 2000 in section 176A. This section was inserted into the Act by the European Union (Planning and Development) (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2018, which provides for the making of an application to a planning authority for a screening determination as to whether a proposed development is likely to have significant effects on the environment. These Regulations give further effect in Irish law to Directive 2011/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment, as amended.
