Abstract
These Regulations, in order to carry into effect Community legislation on weighing procedures for fishing vessels landing herring, mackerel and horse mackerel, designate in Ireland ports of landing, assigns powers of enforcement to the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority and sea-fisheries protection officers and defines offences. A person shall not use a weighing system to weigh pelagic fish unless the system has been approved.
