Sea-Fisheries (Quotas) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 134 of 2012).

These Regulations have the of purpose of giving effect to the provisions of Council Regulation (EU) No. 43/2012 which fixes for 2012 the fishing opportunities available to EU vessels for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks which are not subject to international negotiations or agreements and also Council Regulation (EU) No. 44/2012, which fixes for 2012 the fishing opportunities available in EU waters and, to EU vessels, in certain non-EU waters for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks which are subject to international negotiations or agreements. They also provide for carrying into effect in Ireland of Community legislation which establishes, for fishing vessels greater than 10 metres in overall length and operating in certain waters, a fishing effort limitation scheme in the context of recovery of certain fish stocks.
