Abstract
These Regulations provide that a contravention of any provision of specified Community legislation, which relates to fisheries control systems and the recording of fish catches, is a contravention of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006. They also specify additional duties of master of an Irish sea-fishing boat and appoint the Fisheries Monitoring Centre as the authority within the State to which data must be transmitted. These Regulations apply to an Irish sea-fishing boat exceeding 24m length overall authorised under section 13 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 to fish north of the line of latitude 62 degrees north wherever that sea-fishing boat may be.
