Waste Management (Food Waste) Regulations 2009 (S.I. No. 508 of 2009).

These Regulations impose obligations relative to the segregation of food waste from other waste arising at, or collected from, the premises of the producers listed in the specified classes of Schedule 1 to these Regulations. Producers of waste shall segregate materials and make them available for separate collection. Alternatively, these materials can be treated on the premises where they arise under specified conditions. Nothing in these Regulations shall conflict with the requirements of any enactment in respect of food safety and hygiene standards.
