Abstract
This Act amends the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
Amendments to the Act shall include: addition of new definitions in section 3; insertion of a new section 99A on the prohibition of engagement of seafarers without a proper identity document; minor changes to section 31; insertion of a new Part IXB on security of ships and port facilities.
