Cooperation Law (No. 15 of 1992).

The Act consists of 46 articles, divided into 9 Chapters: Targets (I); Cooperative organizations (II); The General Federation for Cooperation (III); The Qualitative Cooperative (IV); Cooperative Societies (V); The Cooperation Fund (VI); Qualifying institution and cooperative training (VII); Privileges and exemptions (VIII); Final provisions (IX).
The Act provides a general framework for the development of cooperatives. The Act makes provision for the establishment of: (1) the General Federation for Cooperation; (2) the Qualitative Federations; (3) Cooperative Societies; (4) the Cooperative Fund; (5) the Qualifying and Cooperative Training Institution. The General Federation shall be guided by an administration council and shall function as a planning organ for cooperative development. The Qualitative Cooperative Federation shall have legal personality and pursue a specific cooperative aim at national level. The cooperative Society is a body established by natural persons with legal personality. Chapter 5 contains detailed rules regarding its establishment and functioning.
