Law of 2017 - First amendment of the Law of Agricultural Quarantine No.76 of 2012.

This Amendment consisting of 6 articles aims at exempting from import licenses small quantities of agricultural consignments and seed samples for high-quality varieties and high production. Responsible body becomes, as for art.1, the Department of Plant Protection at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Main amendments regard (i) a representative of the Ministry in the Kurdistan Region is added to the Committee on Quarantine Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture; (ii) are exempted from import license and phytosanitary certificate perfumes, tanning and shipping materials not imported for agriculture by mail or accompanied by passengers or loaded, weighing not more than 10 kg; and (iii) are exempted from import license seed samples submitted to the National Commission for the registration, certification and protection of agricultural varieties.
