Act No. 60 amending various acts regarding public oversight of the Food Administration (harmonization of fee provisions).

The present Act introduces amendments to different Acts for purposes of harmonising fee provisions across different regulatory areas. It authorizes the Minister to issue regulations on the supervision, administration and document inspection carried out by the Food Agency, and to issue a fee schedule for the supervision carried out by the Food Agency, based on the recommendations of the Agency. It sets the relevant point to be considered when drawing up regulations and setting tariffs for public regulators, according to the different areas of supervision. These include: a) what kind of company it is and the relevant risk factors; b) the interests of companies with small production; c) traditional methods of production, processing and distribution; and d) the needs of companies based in geographically restricted areas.
