Abstract
This Regulation concerns quality-controlled sheep production, which refers to the production of sheep products in accordance with the requirements set out in this Regulation on facilities and environment, sheep reporting, agriculture, feeding, health, drug use, products, land use, and related matters. Sheep producers who meet the conditions for quality-controlled sheep production in the period from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2026 are entitled to special surcharge payments. The Regulation contains the following Chapters: I. Management and definitions; II. Applications and registrations; III. Obligations of the manufacturer during production; IV. Producer land use and land reclamation plan; V. Monitoring and decisions; VI. Surcharge payments, etc; VII. Penalties and entry into force. Provisions of this Act concern, among other things, production methods and conditions on sheep farms, record keeping obligations, facilities and treatment, labelling of livestock, preparatory course, principles of land use, land improvement, surcharge payment, etc. The regulation contains the following Annexes: I. Guidelines for land assessment and land use; II. Model of land reclamation plan; III. Guidelines for environmental assessment.
