Abstract
The present Act is aimed at the enhancement and promotion of the rational use of minor zootechnical resources and the development of agricultural production by ensuring at the same time the preservation of natural resources. Article 2 gives several definitions, such as “apiculture”, “apiaries” and “pollination services”, with a view to properly defining the application scope of these provisions. Article 4 refers to the financial intervention of the Region in the field of apiculture. Articles 8 and 10 concern the identification of apiaries and experimentation through pathogenic materials, respectively. Phytosanitary treatments shall be forbidden during the blooming period. Article 12 establishes the minimum distances required among apiaries. Articles 15 and 16 deal with surveillance and penalties.
