Regional Act No. 23 setting up the Regional Register of Agricultural Enterprises, making provision to simplify administrative proceedings and laying down further rules in matter of agriculture

The Act provides for the establishment of, on the one hand, the Agricultural Information System of the Tuscany Region (art. 2) and, on the other hand, the Regional Register of Agricultural Enterprises (art. 3). Articles 4 and 5 lay down some amendments to Act No. 49 of 1997 in matter of inspections on organic agriculture products. Further provisions contain more amendments to other laws concerning agriculture. The overall objective is the semplification of administrative proceedings in thid field. Article 26 is concerned with the gathering and cultivation of officinal plants. These activities shall be subject to prior notification to the competent Commune. Article 28 concerns the felling of olive trees. Article 29 entrusts to the Regional Council the registration of geographical indications and designations of origin.
