This Decree modifies the Decree of January 25, 2016, on provisions for small pelagic fisheries in the Mediterranean Sea and specific measures for the Adriatic Sea.
It modifies the definition of small pelagic contained in article 1. Article 2 concerning management provisions is substituted: this concerns total allowable fishing days per month and year and the regulation of fishing stoppages.
Article 3 is also modified, on the necessary requirements to obtain authorization to fish for small pelagic within the framework of GSA 17 and GSA 18.
Article 4 on the issuance, validity and renewal of small pelagic fishing authorization is substituted as well as article 5, setting up a list of fishing units authorized to fish for small pelagic in GSA 17 and GSA 18).
Article 6, bringing final provisions, is substituted: it covers various items such as the obligation resting on fishing vessel's masters to communicate the total number of fishing days taken; the technical requirements the fishing vessels must comply with; the total quantity of small pelagic fish allowed on board or allowed to be disembarked.
Annexes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Ministerial Decree of January 25, 2016 are repealed and replaced by Annexes 1, 2 and 3 of this Decree.
