Abstract
This Decree sets up management provisions limiting the total number of allowable fishing days per month and per year in the Mediterranean Sea.
It further provides for a total allowable catch for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The Decree also establishes that all vessels referred at article 1, actively fishing for small pelagic stocks in the Mediterranean Sea, must observe a technical fishing stop as per the modalities established at article 2 point 4.
A list of units authorized to fish small pelagics in GSA 17 and GSA 18 is provided for at article 3.
Articles 4, 5 and 6 regulates the application procedure for the authorization to fish small pelagics in GSA 17 and GSA 18 as well as the requirements to obtain such fishing authorization as well as the conditions for its issuing, validity and renewal.
Article 8 foresees supporting measures in favor of crews and enterprises for the cases of suspension of the fishing activity not attributable to the shipowner's will.
