Abstract
This Decree regulates the activities of evaluation and flood risk management measures and rules in order to reduce the possible negative consequences for human health, for the territory, for goods, for the environment, for cultural heritage and for economic activities and social consequences of floods themselves, as relevant civil protection measures also in relation to the national alert system, as regards the territory of the Republic of Italy.
Preliminary flood risk assessment is defined in article 4; for issues on possible identification of risk areas with flood potential see article 5; flood hazard and risk maps are regulated in article 6; flood risk management planning see article 7; for territorial coordination of flood risk management plans see article 8; public information and consultations are defined in article 10. Provisions on necessary reports and information that should be delivered to the European Commission are laid down in article 13.
