Abstract
This Decree applies to the bivalve mollusc fishing with devices other than trawling equipment. For the purpose of implementing the fifth three-year plan for fisheries and aquaculture, the management of bivalve mollusc fishing is entrusted to the management consortia established according to Ministerial Decree No. 44 of 12 January 1995. The consortia shall also adopt measures regarding fishing activities, fishing gear and their technical conformity to this Decree. In the maritime districts where no consortia have been created, the provisions of Ministerial Decree of 29 May 1992 shall be applicable. In the period between April and September, the consortia shall determine the closing season for fishing of clams. Under article 6 are also established the closing season for fishing of other bivalve molluscs. The Annexes concern the type of vessels and equipment to be used. (13 articles and 4 Annexes)
