Presidential Decree No. 518 implementing EEC Directives Nos. 71/140, 74/648, 74/649, 78/55 and 78/692 concerning the production and trading of propagating material of vine.

In accordance with the modifications made by the EC Directives cited in the title, this Decree supersedes the provisions made by Presidential Decree of 24 December 1969, No. 1164, with respect to the production and sale to farmers resident in the member countries of the propagating material of vine. The material may be sold only if kept in homogeneous lots and packaged in compliance with the safety requirements set out by article 3. Article 4 establishes the information to be provided to the appropriate control service for the placing on the market of material originating either from member countries or thirds countries. They concern, inter alia, the species, variety, clone, category, quantity, country of production, importer, etc.
