Abstract
This Act aims at establishing a system for the evaluation of the properties of new chemical substances and at regulating the manufacture, import, use, etc. of chemical substances in order to prevent environmental pollution.
The Act provides for regulations and measures concerning Class I and Class II Specified Chemical Substances, for the notification and permission of the quantity of chemical substances manufactured and imported, and for restrictions on their use. The classification of chemical substances is specified and defined in the Act.
