Abstract
This Act provides for regulating the operations of non-government organisations within the territory of Saint Christopher and Nevis. The Act specifies roles and functions of non-government organisations (NGOs), including improvement of sustainable development, protection of human rights, animal welfare, enhancement of social measures. The Act also concerns: economic activities of NGOs; registration of NGOs; activities and programmes aimed at enhancing sustainable human development; coordination of NGOs affairs with government; administrative and procedural matters; financial provisions; penalties; role of international organisations.
