Abstract
This Resolution aims at the protection of the public health and of animals. The present Resolution is composed of 8 articles. Article 1 decrees the ban on the importation of live birds, eggs, poultry meat, frozen and deep frozen birds from countries affected by bird flu according to the declaration of the World for Animal Health. Article 2 subjects the importation of feathers to the provisions of Resolution No. 69/1 of 27 February 2006. Article 3 decrees the total ban on the importation of all species of ornamental birds. Article 4 entrusts the Animal Wealth Department to classify the countries infected by bird-flu. Article 5 excludes from the provisions of this Resolution canned poultry meat accompanied by sanitary certificates.
