Resolution No.1048 of 2016 to prevent the registration and importation of harmful pesticides.

This Resolution consisting of 7 articles aims at immediately banning import and preparation of agricultural pesticides attached in the List of cancer causing and endocrine disrupting pesticides being linked to cancer and pose a threat to pregnant women. The Resolution also confirms the ban to the List of banned pesticides. All imported pesticides need to submit a certificate of analysis from an accredited laboratory. A grace period until 1/6/2017 shall be given, provided that after this date any banned agricultural pesticide shall be considered in contravention of the provisions of this Resolution and shall be re-exported to the country of origin.
