Resolution No.1202 of 2016 amending Resolution No.1048/1 of 2016 to prevent the registration and importation of harmful pesticides.

This Resolution consisting of 3 articles aims at maintaining public health and environment requirements, achieving a healthy agricultural production, and encouraging farmers to use environmentally friendly pesticides. It excludes from provisions of the Resolution the pesticides that arrived at the port of Beirut and which were shipped before the date of its issuance according to the documents provided by the owners. Article 2 provides for the import in the Lebanese territory of pesticides with percentages of breakdown products impurities, solvents and synergists approved by FAO. The pesticides local manufactured or imported from countries non included in the list of Resolution 310/1 must be analyzed in a laboratory accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture in Lebanon.
