Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to forests and forest management in Liechtenstein. Forests are a factor of great importance for human beings, animal and plants and for the ecological, economic and social development of the Principality. Main aim of the present Act is the conservation of forests and their soil; the guarantee of an adequate treatment of the forests and finally the securing of a sustainable development. The text consists of 54 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Protection and conservation of the forest (II); Protection against natural disasters (III); Care and use of forest (IV); Promotion measures (V); Organization and implementation (VI); Procedures and legal remedies (VII); Penalties (VIII); Final provisions (IX).
