Abstract
This Law establishes the general principles and requirements for the installation of liquefied natural gas terminal in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, the general principles and requirements for its operation, as well as legal, financial and organizational conditions for the implementation of the LNG terminal project. Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal (LNG terminal) means the aggregate of energy facilities, including cargos with liquefied natural gas, through which liquefied natural gas is imported into the Republic of Lithuania, accepted and subject to additional services required for the liquefied natural processing for subsequent supply to the natural gas transmission system. The LNG terminal shall be located in the territory of Klaopeda State Seaport. A company intending to become a LNG terminal operator must obtain a natural gas liquefaction license in accordance with the procedure established by the Natural Gas Law.
