Law No. XIII- 1017 amending Law No. IX-517 on the management of packaging and packaging waste.

Article 6 obliges business entities to keep record of packaging materials and packaging waste in accordance with the procedure established by the Government. Article 7 (1) establishes that manufacturers and importers who, within the reporting period, supply to the domestic market of the Republic of Lithuania no more than 0.5 tons of packaging (excluding one-time packaging and multiple packaging) are exempted from the obligation to pay tax on environmental pollution by packaging waste. Article 10 establishes that in order to collectively organize packaging waste management manufacturers and importers can either set up association or to become part of existing association related to packaging waste management.
