Law No. 113 amending Merchant Shipping Code (No. 599-XIV).

Article 31 shall be amended to add the following wording: “A vessel acquired or built in another state shall receive the right to sail under the flag of the Republic of Moldova from the moment of entering the corresponding entry in the ship's register or ship's book and issuance by the Naval Agency of a temporary certificate attesting this right. Such a certificate is valid until the completion of the procedure for the permanent registration of the vessel and the issuance of a certificate attesting the permanent registration, but not more than six months”.
