Law No. 123-XVIII “On natural gas”.

The scope of this Law shall be to set forth legal basis for efficient functioning of natural gas market and performance of activities in natural gas sector under conditions of accessibility, availability, security, uninterrupted supply, competitiveness, transparency, and with observance of quality level, safety and environmental protection. It shall be applicable to the following operations: (a) natural gas production; (b) storage of natural gas; (c) movement, including transboundary movement, of natural gas; (d) distribution of natural gas; (e) supply of natural gas; (f) import and export of natural gas; (g) regulation of tariffs on gas and related services; (h) licensed activities on gas market; (i) safety and reliability of natural gas supply; and (j) protection of end consumers. Licensed activities in the sphere of natural gas shall include natural gas production, storage, transport, distribution and supply at regulated and unregulated prices.
