Ministerial Decree No. 1583 regarding import of products of animal origin.

The Government, for the purpose of improving food quality control and food safety of some products of animal origin with a view of ensuring protection of public health, decrees to establish that from 1 January 2004 import of the aforesaid products shall be authorized exclusively for industrial processing for the production of meat and meat-based products. Annex contains the full list of products of animal origin subject to this import restriction.
