Abstract
This Order establishes that legal protection of the place of origin of commodities shall be carried on the grounds of registration thereof by the State Intellectual Property Agency (AGEPI). Registration shall be confirmed by certificate. The period of validity of registration of places of origin of commodities shall be open-ended but after each 10-year period the owner of certificate shall submit to Intellectual Property Agency (AGEPI) report on conservation of specific qualities of commodities indicated in the registration certificate. In case of absence of specific qualities due to change of natural or ethnographic factors of the respective geographic area legal protection of denomination can be declared null and void.
