Order No. 283 of the National Agency for Food Safety validating the Regulation establishing the minimum health conditions and veterinary certification for the export of animals.

This Regulation establishes the health and veterinary certification requirements for the export of cattle, sheep and goats. The provisions of this Regulation do not apply to animals that are exported to countries with which the Republic of Moldova has initialed the models of veterinary certificates. In case the animals have been administered any veterinary drugs that require a waiting period and which at the time of certification has not been exceeded, the official veterinarian will indicate this mention in the veterinary certificate, specifying: (a) the commercial name of the preparation, as well as the international common name (in brackets with italic text); (b) the date of the last administration; (c) the waiting period provided in the prospectus and (d) the date when the waiting period expires. Sheep and goats can be exported if they meet the following requirements: 1) they are identified and registered; 2) they were not administered: a) neither stilbene nor substances with a thyrostatic effect; b) no estrogenic, androgenic, gestagenic or β-agonist substance for purposes other than therapeutic or zootechnical; 3) were kept in quarantine for a period of at least 21 days; 4) do not come from or have not come into contact with animals from a holding that has prohibitions for reasons of animal health, the duration of this prohibition, from the slaughter and/or from the elimination of the last animal infected or likely to be infected with one of the following diseases, being: a) 42 days, in the case of brucellosis; b) 60 days, in the case of rabies; c) 15 days, in the case of anthrax; 5) they do not come from a holding or have not come into contact with animals from a holding located in an area with restrictions for health reasons or subject to a ban or restriction regarding the species in question; 6) the animals did not show any clinical sign of ovine epididymitis on the day of boarding; 7) all animals were subjected to tests for Brucella ovis and Brucella melitensis at least once 180 days before shipment, with a negative result. Sheep and goats, from their departure from the farm of origin until they leave the territory of the Republic of Moldova: - must not come into contact at any time with other biungulate animals except those that benefit from the same health status; - they must be accompanied by the movement form (F2) and the original sanitary-veterinary certificate.
