Law on the transport of dangerous materials.

This Law determines the provisions aimed at controlling and regulating the transport of dangerous materials and substances, on road, rail, sea and air traffic, on the territory of Montenegro, as regards both internal and international movement of dangerous materials (classified in the article 3). The transport of dangerous materials includes operations and activities such as consultations and expertise, packaging, labelling, loading, unloading, transshipment and temporary storage.
The article 2 sets the exceptions as regards the application of this Law.
These provisions are stipulated by putting into consideration the obligations taken under related adopted international agreements.
The Chapters of this text are: General provisions (I); Preventive safety measures (II); General safety measures (III); approval for transport of hazardous materials (IV); Transport of hazardous materials by types of transport (V); Supervision (VI); Penalty provisions (VII); Transitional and final provisions (VIII).
This Law further sets the rules in terms of emergency situation response; data collection and reporting; administrative procedures for granting necessary transport documents and certifications.
