Abstract
This Progrmme sets the terms and contents of the annual (2020) Montenegrin monitoring scheme aimed to analyze and monitor the residues on food of plant and animal origin.
This text further defines the sampling priorities, number of samples and laboratory tests, control methods, conditions, method of taking and storing samples, keeping records of samples and laboratory methods for monitoring the pesticide residue levels.
This programme is here implemented in order to assess the threat to the health of the population (also infant foodstuff) and to respect the possible maximum level of residues, as determines by relevant legislation.
This text further transposes the contents of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/533 concerning a coordinated multi-annual control programme of the Union for 2020, 2021 and 2022 to ensure compliance with maximum residue levels of pesticides and to assess the consumer exposure to pesticide residues in and on food of plant and animal origin (as indicated on page 8).
The Annex is also part of this publication (containing sample forms of reporting sheets).
