Abstract
This Pesticide residue monitoring Programme in food of plant and animal origin for the year 2021, based on the provisions of the Montenegrin Law on food safety and Law on plant protection products, and in accordance with terms defined in the Regulation on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on plants, plant products, food or feed, Regulation on sampling methods for determining residues of plant protection products, and Regulation on substances that can be added to food for special nutritional needs, here determines specific conditions and methods of monitoring (monitoring performers, sampling priorities, number of samples and laboratory tests), control methods, conditions, manner and methods of taking and storing samples, keeping records of samples and methods of laboratory tests, all aimed to monitor levels of pesticide residues in food of plant and animal origin (also for infant foodstuff). Terms and rules provided in the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 concerning a coordinated multiannual control programme of the Union for 2021, 2022 and 2023 to ensure compliance with maximum residue levels of pesticides and to assess the consumer exposure to pesticide residues in and on food of plant and animal origin are also here transposed.
