Abstract
This Regulation prescribes several issues and rules aimed at defining the use of animal feed (also animal water), additives or supplements and premixtures which can be placed on the market, also sets their categories and classification, labelling and packaging requirements.
This text further transposes some of the provisions contained in the Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on additives for use in animal nutrition; Commission Regulation (EC) No 386/2009 of 12 May 2009 amending Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the establishment of a new functional group of feed additives; and other documents (see the end of article 12).
The Annex is also part of this publication (list of all approved feed additives).
