Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the method of performing the veterinary examinations of live animals that are imported into the Republic of Montenegro, including the issues aimed to define the effective frequency of physical examinations and procedures for veterinary inspections at the border inspection points.
The rules provided by this Regulation are aimed for animals that have a commercial purpose only.
This Regulation further transposes the rules contained in the: articles 1, 2 and 9 of the Directive 91/496/EEC of 15 July 1991 laying down the principles governing the organization of veterinary checks on animals introduced in the Community from third countries and also amending the Directives 89/662/EEC, 90/425/EEC and 90/675/EEC; articles 1 to 6 of the Commission Decision No 97/794/EC of 12 November 1997 laying down certain detailed rules for the application of the Council Directive 91/496/EEC as regards the veterinary inspection of live animals imported from third countries.
