Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the correct manner for carrying out veterinary examinations of products of animal origin (both food and feed; and animal products intended for industrial purpose) that are entering in Montenegro, (including examinations in free zones, free warehouses, customs warehouses and warehouses used for the supply of maritime transport vehicles if involved in international traffic/navigation).
The Annex is part of this publication (technical issues and specific inspection requirements; and related veterinary certification reporting administrative form).
This text further transposes the provisions contained on the following European legal documents: Council Directive 97/78/EC of 18 December 1997 laying down the principles governing the organization of veterinary checks on products entering the Community from third countries; Commission Decision of 8 September 2000 laying down the methods of veterinary checks for products from third countries destined for introduction into free zones, free warehouses, customs warehouses or operators supplying cross border means of sea transport; Commission Implementing Decision of 4 April 2011 implementing Council Directive 97/78/EC as regards transhipment at the border inspection post of introduction of consignments of products intended for import into the Union or for third countries.
