Abstract
This Regulation here prescribes the necessary methods for the performance of official controls overt the products of animal origin intended for nutrition and effective human consumption.
Such official controls are established for the purpose of verification of the following food safety issues: compliance with food hygiene requirements; fulfillment of special hygiene requirements for products of animal origin; control over animal by-products not intended for human consumption; implementation of good hygienic practices and procedures based on HACCP principles; and many other as listed in the text (article 2).
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
