Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the measures for the prevention, detection, suppression and eradication of infectious animal disease called the atypical pest/plague of livestock (also Newcastle disease) such as poultry, sports pigeons and other birds kept in captivity (also as regards the necessary vaccination and disinfection).
This Regulation transposes the rules contained in the Council Directive 92/66/EEC of 14 July 1992 introducing Community measures for the control of Newcastle disease); and Council Directive 2009/158/EC of 30 November 2009 on animal health conditions governing intra-Community trade, and imports from third countries of poultry and hatching eggs.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
