Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the necessary measures aimed to prevent the occurrence, to suppress and to eradicate the transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (animal disease, denominated as TSE).
The rules here provided are to be applied on animals and products of animal origin that are intended and/or are placed on market (also introducing the principle of avoidance and/or prevention of cross-contamination).
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
