Order on the implementation of international standard for determining and recognizing the equality of phytosanitary measures no. 24.

This Order determines the method for implementation of international standard for determining and recognizing the equality of phytosanitary measures no. 24-given in Annex of this text. This standard prescribes the principles and conditions applied in determining and recognizing the equivalence of phytosanitary measures, as well as the procedures for determining equivalence in international trade.
Determining equivalence requires a review of phytosanitary measures to determine their effectiveness in reducing a particular risk of harmful organisms. Determining the equivalence of the measures may also include assessment/evaluation of the phytosanitary systems or programs of the exporting contracting parties, which support the implementation of these measures.
