This Regulation prescribes the rules and provisions aimed to determine various issues regarding the use of additives in food, including the processing practices, maximum permitted quantity of certain additives, additional labelling and information provisions, all aimed to offer a secure and transparent use of additives in food production/processing.
This text further offers a complete classification of food additives and related specifications and denominations.
