Abstract
This Regulation amends certain provisions part of the Regulation on general requirements for food safety in relation to the maximum levels of certain contaminants (originally published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia 102/2013).
Changes are related to the reedited contents of the article 3 that sets the list of substances considered as food contaminants (nitrates; mycotoxins; metals; 3-monochloropropanediol (3-MCPD) and glycidyl esters of fatty acids; dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH); melamine and its structural analogues and inherent plant toxins); new Annex that here completely substitutes the previous one.
This Regulation harmonizes the national legislation with the provisions contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 of 19 December 2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs; Commission Regulation (EC) No 1126/2007 of 28 September 2007 amending Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs as regards Fusarium toxins in maize and maize products; Commission Regulation (EC) No 565/2008 of 18 June 2008 amending Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs as regards the establishment of a maximum level for dioxins and PCBs in fish liver; and other, see the complete list on page 1 of this text.
