Abstract
This Regulation amends several provisions part of the Regulation on specific rules for food of animal origin (originally published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia 28/2016, and already amended in the Gazette 166/2017).
Changes are regarding the contents of the article 21 (hygiene requirements for slaughtering phases such as cutting and boning); several modifications and new technical parameter list for storage and transport issues (article 23); specific requirements for live bivalve molluscs (article 44, paragraph 1); added health standards for live bivalve molluscs (added article 52-a); and article 56 (setting the specific requirements for pectinidae and marine gastropods).
This Regulation further harmonizes the national legislation with the provisions contained in Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1978 of 31 October 2017 amending Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin as regard echinoderms harvested outside classified production areas; and other, see page 1 of this publication.
